After 36 hours of flying including the moment I left my house to take a red eye flight to Dallas to begin my journey to South East Asia, I was beyond excited to arrive at my final destination which was Bangkok, Thailand. I am an SPG fanatic and love their properties – I was able to find a great rate for the W Bangkok, the property looked incredible and so did their pool so it was a no brainer for me to book this property. I have elite status with SPG so it always helps for a few of the great perks it offers. After a delayed arrival into Bangkok due to an aircraft swap in Hong Kong we arrived an hour later into BKK – I had zero worries about it because I had the W chauffeur service waiting for me at the Terminal. I was greeted by the staff around the baggage claim area with a W sign and shortly I was on my way to the property, rolling in style in an S550 AMG Mercedes Benz which offered, mood lights, internet, candy and gum.
W Bangkok – Chauffer Service
The ride took about 40 minutes, no traffic what so ever but from the airport to the city is fairly far – I was exhausted and couldn’t wait to arrive to the hotel. After a comfortable ride, we made it to the hotel and I was greeted by the attentive and caring bell men working the property. At the time of my arrival it was already 1:30am. However, the lobby was playing some great tunes and I was greeted by the very friendly check in agents of the hotel which I must say – they did an excellent job letting me know the amenities of the hotel, where the fitness center was and everything that the hotel offers within those 10 minutes I was on my way to my room located on the 24 floor of the property with stellar City Views.
W Bangkok – Room 2404
When entering my room, I was surprised by the style and decor of the room. The decor was unique and everything was just in flawless condition as expected for an SPG property and no other than the W Hotel. Keep in mind that they offer different rooms but throughout this stay I was on the W Wonderful and on a later blog post I will also share my experience at the E WOW Suite of the W Bangkok which is a one of a kind room offering luxurious amenities for the guest.
W Bangkok Hotel – Wonderful Room overview
The bathroom of the room was lovely and spacious featuring a bath tub, water fall shower with an extra shower hose, a great size sink with all of the toiletries such as: Soap, Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, tooth paste, etc. Within your sink you will also find more complimentary water which came in handy for those hot days in Bangkok.

As I mentioned above – The view from my room was spectacular and during those sunsets I truly enjoyed it. The first thing the gentleman told me during my check in “Mr, Carter – you’re going to love the view, please enjoy it”. He was absolutely correct about it and I enjoyed every sunset for those days I was in my room during “Golden Hour”. 😉
W Bangkok – Wonderful Room bottom line
Needless to say, the W Bangkok went far and beyond to make my visit extra special. The room, turn down service and the amenities of the room were incredible. The in-room coupons came in handy for the daily specials they ran at the property which I highly recommend you take advantage of them if you happen to stay at this property. While I have so many exciting blogs to come from the W Bangkok Hotel where I am covering their amenities (pool, woo-bar, breakfasts, E WOW suite, spa services and more) The Wonderful room was a great choice for me during my visit to the property.
I know this is something that many of you wonder about “Was the shower pressure good?” Without a doubt the shower was excellent and it was easy to manage the temperature of the water between cold, medium and hot temps. You won’t be disappointed and the bathtub was relaxing as well.
Last but not least (not pictured) – Within your room you will find ropes, sandals and your laundry bag if you are wanting the hotel to do your laundry as well.
If you have stayed at this property, how was your stay and what room did you book?
