I took a work trip to Boston last week and looking for a hotel was harder than ever. It was no easy task being that there was a Seafood conference during my trip and all of the hotels were charging an arm and leg per night. I was only in Boston for a day so I was not looking to spend a hefty amount of money for my stay. We are looking at $300+ per night at many of the properties in Boston.
Though, my second option was to redeem some of my American Airlines miles for my stay as that would save me quite a bit of money for my stay. After doing my research for a little while I found a great property that met everything I was looking for and I decided to book the Hyatt Boston Harbor. I was looking for a property close Logan Airport, with complimentary shuttle included and that it would be close to where I needed to be the next day and the Hyatt Boston Harbor met every need and want I was looking for.
The Hyatt Boston Harbor was 25,000 American Airlines miles, a little hefty but it was a much better option than paying cash. It is also 5 minutes away from Boston Logan airport & 10-15 minutes away from where I needed to be the next day and complimentary shuttle was also included because I was going to be a guest of the hotel.

Things to keep in mind
- When you arrive into Boston, make sure you called the hotel and press option #2 for shuttle service. The operator will ask you what terminal you are in and they will notified you when you will be getting picked up.
- The shuttle service runs every 15 minutes if you happen to miss your shuttle but it’s always best to call in when you have collected all of your bags.
- The shuttle is in service 24/7 and all of the drivers are super friendly and helpful.
- The shuttle service is complimentary and tips are optional.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the check in agents of the hotel and in matters of minutes I was on my way to my room. Keep in mind the Hyatt has done several renovations to the room and I think they did an awsome job as the set up is fresh and the accommodations in the room are comfortable. The staff working the front desk were friendly, attentive and caring. They made themselves available for anything and everything I needed during my stay.
Overview about the room (2 king beds).
The following room I booked using my American Airlines miles was a 2 queen bed harbor view room which was the best value offered. If I wanted a king bed and harbor view the milage price would have gone up to 30,000 for one night. I was perfectly fine with my choice and booked my first option. I was assigned floor #5.

Within your side table you will also find an old school iHome which isn’t equipped for iPhone6 just yet along with a list of the items that the Hyatt Hotel can provide you for free of charge. You simply go ahead and call the front desk and they will accommodate your request right away. The service was flawless and provided on a timely matter.
Within your TV you will find a variety of things such as: Express check outs, Room service menu, events and things to do at the hotel and your channel guide list. Well equipped TV with everything you need at your finger tips.
The waters near the TV are not complimentary and they will charge you $5 per bottle if you happen to drink them.
Within the closet of your room you will find a variety of things. Hangers, laundry list directions and your safe box.

Hyatt Harbor Bottom line and overall thoughts:
For my one night stay at this hotel I was very pleased with everything. The hotel does a great job on keeping things clean and organized for the guest. The hotel also offers a restaurant known as Harbor Grill which offers an award winning clam chowder which I didn’t get to try but according to the staff it’s one of their signature dishes and has won 2 year consecutive awards. I do find the prices to be very high at this property so be aware of that.
If you are departing the next day remember you can catch the shuttle bus back to Boston Logan airport anytime of the day and to speed up that process, ask the concierge to ring up the shuffle driver and they will be at the property in matters of minutes.
While this is a pricey property to stay at in Boston, it is worth the price for those business travelers who are in and out of Boston.
