Before I begin this post I wanted to extend my Thank You to the Sheraton Boston Hotel for inviting me to their property for the day and getting to experience what the Sheraton Boston is about. As an SPG elite member and a big fanatic of the Starwood properties it’s always a pleasure visiting new hotels and getting to know what they are about and seeing some of the installations they offer for their guest.
Incase you missed my previews post about the Sheraton Boston Hotel, you can check the following link (here). Where I review and share my thoughts about their fitness center and pool area with a few of the great amenities they offer.
On Today’s installment I will be doing an overview of the Sheraton Boston club lounge which in my opinion it’s one of the cool amenities that every guest can experience if they are willing to upgrade on a room that will grant them access into the club lounge which in my opinion it’s worth it – I’ll cover why it’s worth it further down on the post. If you have elite status with the property such as Platinum you qualify to have club lounge access without the fee since normally an upgrade in rooms will be accommodated for you. So let’s begin…
Sheraton Boston Club Lounge
The Club Lounge of the property can be found on floor 29 and it’s open 24 hours which I find if to be a big value since I can head out there and get some work done at all times of the day. My first impression from the lounge was fantastic as it offers an incredible view of the Charles River. As I’ll be sharing with you the installations of the lounge – I’ll also be pointing out some of the amenities you will be getting by having access info the lounge.
- High Speed Internet Access, PC workstations, and office supplies at no charge.
- Morning to night with complimentary enhanced continental breakfast and evening hors d’oeuvres.
- 42” flat screen televisions mounted around the lounge.
- Complimentary waters, sodas, snacks & coffee at all times.
Sheraton Boston Club Lounge facility overview
The sitting of the lounge varies as you can see from the photos they provide those high stool chairs with plenty of work desk. Outlets can be found on the right hand side of the desk to charge up your devices if needed. The chairs were comfortable and the lay out in which they were set up provides gorgeous views of the Charles River.
If you are wanting to catch the news or be ground level on a more comfortable chair or getting together with a group pf people this section of the lounge is perfect for that occasion.
Within the lounge you will also see a staff members on duty that incase you need something during your visit they will do their best to accommodate your request or need. I spent a few hours at the lounge working and the staff were very friendly and attentive making themselves available for anything and everything I needed during my stay. The staff is constantly re-stocking the refreshment cooler and setting up for lunch/dinner service.
As you enter the lounge to your right hand side you will find a table with several snacks such as granola bars, banana and apples. You can grab as you please if you are wanting a mid day snack or something to nibble on as you work.
It’s worth mentioning that throughout the afternoon the staff will pass out a menu of drinks which can be purchased with your star points. The menu consisted on mostly wines – which you can’t go wrong with ;).
Last but not least, there is no restroom facility within the lounge but it can be found on the hallway. As you exit the hall you will take a right and the restroom will be there. You will also need your room key to access the restroom so be sure to keep your room key with you at all times.
Sheraton Boston Club Lounge – Bottom line
Overall the Sheraton Boston Club Lounge is a solid amenity that all guest can enjoy and the style of it is unique unlike other lounges I have visited. The staff working is friendly, attentive and caring. I was not able to try the food at the lounge due to my early departure from the hotel but I am sure it is quite good. It also offers a great variety of refreshments for the guest. As I mentioned above, if you would like to upgrade for club lounge access you will be paying an extra $30 a day, if you find it to be a good value and will take advantage of it – I say go for it because what it offers, it pays for itself.
