After a wonderful flight on board Etihad Airways from Los Angeles to Abu Dhabi International airport – I was excited to check out one of the hotels that I’ve been eyeing ever since I decided to visit Abu Dhabi. This hotel is very popular for its structure and also known to be a World Guinness Record hotel holder that leans at 18 degrees. I stayed a total of 3 nights and I booked this hotel through one of my favorite hotel websites known as OnHotels.com where normally great hotel fairs are constantly coming up, I paid a total of $206 which in my opinion is a bargain for what I got and how beautiful my room was.
While the hotel is not really within City Center – It is close to one of the major landmarks in Abu Dhabi which is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque but it is worth checking out if you are visiting Abu Dhabi or you’re in transit and would like to stay somewhere luxurious close to the airport. The drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport to the Hotel took about 30 minutes or so, for transportation I used the Etihad Airways Chauffeur service which is complimentary for Business and First Class passengers.
Once arriving into the hotel – I was greeted by the friendly ground staff and they directed me to the elevator so I could check in. Throughout the check in process the friendly asked me a few questions and requested my passport. Within minutes I was on my way to my room. I was assigned a sea view on the 32nd floor of the property and it was simply stunning.
Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi – Floor 32.
This floor is a non-smoking floor – so if you are allergic to smoke, I would highly recommend requesting that during your check in. The hallway was beautiful and the view from the top to the bottom was nerve racking and to see the structure of the building and how it was made was fascinating, very unique.

Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi – Deluxe Room
As I mentioned above, I was assigned a Deluxe room with the sea view and it was beautiful. Spacious, well designed with great amenities to make your stay one of a kind. Within the room you will find a working desk with endless of charging sports and converters, I find that to be a nice touch by the hotel since many don’t offer that.
Within the bed theres a comfortable couch to relax as well along with a table to dine in if wanted. One of my favorite things about the room its the variety of coffee and tea being offered at free of charge. I had the freedom to make my own coffee every morning just the way I like it, the coffee served is Illy – which is one of my favorites.
The mini bar of the room is hidden within the wall next to the coffee machine and TV – I find the design of the room to be perfect as it doesn’t feel overly crowded with things just to fill up space and as I previously stated, the room felt HUGE and spacious.
The View from the room was incredible.
Mini Bar – I tend to stay away from the mini bar selections as they tend to be overly priced – Within the room you will find a hefty amount of complimentary water bottlers so incase you would like to have more, you can ring up the staff and they will send more to the room.
Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi – Deluxe Room Bathroom
Nothing compliments the room even more when they have a well designed bathroom to go along with. The bathroom of the room was excellent as it offered everything and anything you needed. Within the bathroom you will find a rather big bathtub, waterfall shower, the toilet which is completely separated and enclosed, and a great bathroom sink in which you can find a variety of complimentary toiletries to use during your stay.

Hyatt Capital Gate Abu Dhabi – Bottom line
Staying at this property was pleasant and everyone was very kind and friendly. I had a few minor issues and set backs but the staff made up for it with their attention to detail and great customer service. If you are looking for a transit hotel or mainly flying to Abu Dhabi for a quick business trip, I would recommend staying at this property as the luxury feel and comfort both met my expectations.
On the next installment I will be covering the pool area of the property which was one of my favorite installations of the property. If you are a Hyatt Elite such as Diamond member, the recognition of status is also very good from the staff.
Have you stayed at this property before? If so, how was your experience?
