- 10 Reasons To Visit Le Meridien Abu Dhabi
I am a big fan of hotels that are constantly growing, innovating and enhancing the guest and visitor experience. Le Meridien Abu Dhabi is a hotel in the heart of Abu Dhabi attracting visitors and guest from all over The World. Throughout my time at the hotel in the month of September I’ve gotten to learn about their latest and newest additions to the property which in my opinion, it’s simply fantastic. Why is it important for a hotel to add and incorporate new things? Because It keeps regulars and new visitors coming into the property. When you have a brilliant idea and know the concept is unique, and know it will be beneficial and it will attract the people, it is a no brainer to get after it and make that idea become a reality.
I haven’t heard of any other hotel in the UAE that offers Fire and Ice Beach party for their guest. In fact the first time I heard about it was coming from Le Meridien Abu Dhabi and I immediately thought, this is an incredible idea because of everything that the hotel offers for their guest and visitors stopping by the property. It is a fairly new concept that just started at the hotel and I know it will be a big success for them.
If you have been following me for a while, you already know I am a big fan of being by the sea and water. Le Meridien Abu Dhabi has incredible beach and surroundings which makes the experience special and one of a kind. What better than partying by the sea, listening to good tunes and enjoying a cocktail while having some delicious food? There is nothing that sounds better than that, in my opinion.
WHAT IS “FIRE AND ICE BEACH PARTY”?
Via Le Meridien: Wakataua Fire and Ice beach party is Abu Dhabi’s newest beach party after brunch. Whether you just want to lie by the beach and enjoy the DJ playing chillout tunes or you want to dance on the golden sand with the sea crashing around your ankle, It’s all here!
When and Where?: Every Friday at 4pm – Le Meridien Abu Dhabi – Wakataua Terrace.
Entrance Fee: AED 50; 3 hours open bar with house beverages: 300 AED. For a la carte beverages, minimum spend 150 AED.
WAKATAUA BEACH OVERVIEW
As I previously mentioned, this is one of my favorite areas of the hotel. Being by the sea, on a hot afternoon, listening to chilled tunes, drinking a cold brew and having some delicious food sounds like the perfect time. But most importantly, I know you are wondering how does the beach look like and what are the installations like? The installations in my opinion are solid and perfectly laid out, leaving enough space in between tables so you aren’t touching or rubbing elbows with your neighbors. We all like our personal space without feeling like we can’t even walk around the area. Not only do they have the beach area but also the terrace incase you aren’t wanting to be by the beach. So lets take a look at the beach and see what you’re in for when you visit Le Meridien Abu Dhabi Fire and Ice party.
Several tables have their shades and some don’t. Of course, I would highly recommend being under a shade for the first hour of two. It is usually pretty hot here in Abu Dhabi so if you would like to be comfortable under a shade, with your toes in the sand and enjoying a refreshment, arriving early is the best bet for you. Though, once sunset you will have no problems.
As I previously mentioned, there is also the Wakataua Terrace which offers plenty of sitting for the guest and visitor. Ranging from different groups. Within the terrance you will find the friendly staff and bartenders working preparing some great cocktails, chilled music playing and the vibe could not be any better. The alcohol and beverages offered are endless, so you won’t be disappointed. 😉

RULES TO FOLLOW
The vibe at night was my favorite. As you can see the buildings on the distance lighting up and the set up during the evening at Wakataua was done just right. The temperature dropped making the weather cooler and enjoyable. The touch of neon lights constantly changing is super cool and if you have been following for a while, you know I am a fan of mood lights.
The food was also very good and one of my favorite dishes I had was the ceviche which I highly recommend on getting when visiting.
